Youth

Nowadays, the adolescence and youth must be life’s stages dedicate to develop the professional and cultural character, the definition of great goals to be conquered for the young people. Youth must be characterized by the happiness, enthusiasm, heroism, solidarity, self improvement and noble feelings. Currently, we find the youth without motivation because the majority of teenagers are growing without values, goals, aspirations, a family, or a purpose for the future. It seems an “old youth”, not because they have gray hair, because there is a lack of interest, inspiration and passion. Now we watch a deep individualism, selfishness and violence. Teenagers have lost their motivation because what they have learned is a character of materialism, this has deformed their objectives.

However, we can not judge teenagers that show this reality because they are the product of disfunctional families without maternal and fatherly figures. Sometimes adolescents are raised by the television, videogames, internet, cell phones, MP3, etc. they haven’t been warned of what is good or bad for them. On the other hand, if we want to change this problem; teachers, parents, church and government have to work very hard to improve the quality of life of the young people. They have to teach moral and civics principle, teachers and parents must be exemplary models for them because in that way the new generation will not repeat those acts.

wow!!! "...inspiration and passion..." maybe once in a while, we all need to remember the reasons why we do what we do...and try to keep on being inpired and passionate about what we like and about what we want, despite obstacles...

Yes. We as teachers have a big responsability with this part of the society. Remember that the second house is the SCHOOL, so we have to educate them in the right way.

Teacher have a big and difficult fight with all of those things, televition, videogames, internet and so on. we have to look for some ideas of how to use it in an effectivly way.
Maybe look for educative programs that students could see and then ask some question of it or try to make them see what are the problems of watching different programs.

I think, sometimes we must forget about a program and pay more attention to our students and children. To understand their problems, their doubts about life, their concerns or obstacles, and try to solve them together. This could be the begining of a new generation of students.

I agree with you Shredder! Unfortunately, our youth has lost their identity because they are trying to copy life styles that are not part of our culture. I do not know if I have to be so specific when I say other lifestyles. I think you are a very clever guy and you understand who am I refering to.
