The Sistine Chapel Genesis

Writing is a way for you to explore your thoughts and mental images. It is also a way to discover more about yourself and the people and experiences that helped make you who you are.

After Michelangelo had begun painting the Sistine Chapel in Rome inthe 1500´s, he thought of new ideas and decided to resketch and repaint based on those new ideas.

A writer works in much the same way, exploring ideas in a rough draft,refining the draft , or even discarding it and searching for a new idea. Although no two writers approach the writing process in exactly the same way, most writers go through five basic stages:

PREWRITING

DRAFTING

REVISING

EDITING

PRESENTING
